Five Fave Chokers

Chokers, one of my favourite fashion trends EVER! I remember over a year ago I wore my first choker with a oversized denim jacket, sliders and LBD, that day I got some funny looks, and comments! Ohhh you going for the goth look these days? Is that comfortable? Are you in fancy dress? People are just too funny aren't they.... not. Over the past few months though I have seen that they are becoming very popular, and with that I'm always wanting to be different and
searching for a choker with a twist... because who wants to look the same as everyone else? Not me!

So of course I thought it was only fair to share with you some cute, fun and different choker ideas.

The skinny simple

Whistles

Black chokers are everywhere, but this one is skinnier then the norm and is great for an understated look, also great for you shy guys that would love to try out the trend but don't want to be too out there. Or if you already have a statement outfit and just can't resist adding a choker!

The same but different

Accessorize

I never have been keen on the stretchy black (s club 7) choker even when I was 10 however when I came across this gold metal hardware version I fell in love, this goes with everything and is so fine and delicate it can almost go unnoticed. I'm all about those intricate details guys!

The statement

ASOS

As soon as I wear this I instantly feel more edgy, sexy and fierce, now if that doesn't make you want rush and order this I don't know what will! It's a statement piece with elegant edge. Obsessed!

The summer staple

ASOS

Could this be any cuter? Nope. The flower and pearl detail is perfection and it is great for festival season. Fashion is supposed to be fun, and I love quirky little details to add some sassiness to an outfit.

The DIY

Homemade!

This is my fave...You know me, I love me some DIY. Literally go to your nearest haberdashery and buy a shoe lace, this particular one is waxy and a beautiful nude shade. DONE... your welcome!!

Just a little life update if your interested... I broke and I mean really broke my phone and was without one for 2 weeks (it was a very hard time) but now I'm but with a 6s Plus, although it's big I'm absolutely loving it, such better picture quality and great for blogging. I am also starting at Laura Mercier from next week (so exciting) so wish me luck and of course...

I'll keep you posted :)

My top 5 Palette Picks!

Oh hello! It's been a little while hasn't it... Have I forgotten how to do this? On don't you worry my ability to ramble on about makeup, shoes, clothes, cakes and travels is definitely still in full force!

So let's get straight into it shall we?

In the last few months I've been a busy bee working for Benefit Cosmetics and have spent most of my mornings travelling by train, giving all the early morning lucky commuters some private makeup tutorials, they love it!

So with all this travelling  and my recent holiday to Mykonos (it was an absolute dream, if you haven't been GO) I have been really into palettes, they just are so easy and compact to chuck into my not so little makeup bag every day and allow me options... every girl needs options! Don't get me wrong I do tend to find myself steering towards and creating similar looks, but who doesn't want to have that bronze goddess glam errrrrday alllllday?

Eyes - Kat Von D and Nude'tude Palettes
Contour Bronze and Blush - Chatlotte Tilbury
Highlight - Makeup Revolution
Lips - Mac Lip Pro Palette

Me being me I've also found  myself frantically telling/forcing my friends to try out my most loved pallets that I simply couldn't live without now. In fact some I have used to death I've had to re purchase... that's when you know your obsessed!

So as I have neglected you lot lately I would give you something back... some Palettes you will fall in love with!

These pallets range from high end to very affordable drugstore, and just a little warning some of these are very well loved they come with me everywhere!

Here they are...

My top 5 Palette Picks

Kat Von D Shade and Light eye contour Palette $46

If you have yet to hear about this pallets where have you been?? It's massive in the beauty world and I can really see why, all the orange and rust smokey eye shades that are so on trend at the moment you will find carefully placed between bronze and taupe transition shades! I'm in love, I wear the last 4 shades in the palette (there is a picture below) on my eyes most days, get ready for some envy inducing eye!

Charlotte Tilbury - Instant look in a Palette £49

For my she can do no wrong, everything she brings is just a makeup lovers dream! This Palette doesn't disappoint, it has the perfect bronze/blush/highlight trio swell as having some great everyday eye look shades. The products are so creamy and pigmented, such good quality and worth the high price. The most handy I have because it's eye, cheeks and contour in one!

MAC - 6 Modern Browns Pro Lip Pallete £35

Nudes, nudes, nudes, everyone is wearing them everyone is wanting them. The thing I love about this mini palette is that they aren't matte. Yep, I said it, they don't dry my lips out, they are long lasting but they aren't glossy. They all just look good and feel good isn't that the key? A great range of soft peachy nudes to cool taupe's and warm browns. Perfection!

The Balm Cosmetics - Nude'tude  £37.50 (cheaper on Amazon)

I have become SUCH a big fan of this brand in the last year, I love there highlighters and blushes too!
But this shadow palette is just SO wearable and the shimmer and matte shades all just go with each other to make some really stunning looks, I always find I'm asked what I'm wearing when I use these colours as they are very unusual, also comes with a brush too. Look on Amazon as The Balm is really cheap on there, thank me later!

Makeup Revolution - Golden Sugar Blush Palette £6 (yes I know)

So I thought I'd save the best for last, when I brought this it was just an experiment because I liked the colours and It was cheaper than most of my lunches so I thought why not! I've used it so much I'm now on my second one n 3 months! The highlighters in this palette are insane, the best I've ever used. Bold statement I know! The matte bronze shade is great as well, it's a lovely warm tone so you won't get that that ashy muddy contour that I notice some girls have, they need this palette!
The swatch says it all, I know where you'll be this weekend ladies, Superdrug!

So that was fun, I shall be doing it a lot more often! In fact I'm already planning my next :)

Just a little update in case you don't follow Me on Instagram @justjessicablog in June I will be joining Laura Mercier as a Manager, literally on cloud 9 right as I have always loved her products and she is like an idol for me, soon excited!

I'll keep you posted :)

Happy Thursday guys, It's almost the weekend! It's been a chilly one hasn't it, not that I'm complaining I'm absolutely loving wrapping up in faux fur and over the knee boots. Gimme all those Khakis, Burgundy's and Camels shades NOW. I have been rather busy as of late, even managing to pop over to Paris to play with Minnie and Micky. Disneyland was everything I had hoped and dreamt, I loved all the intricate building and meeting some of the characters, such a big kid!

As we are coming into the new season I have been enjoying buying my new autumn/winter wardrobe, mostly online but a few little trips to the shops have also served me well... here's what I have been loving at the moment, enjoy!

Fashion Faves

Tassel Detailing

I love that tassel's are coming straight through from Summer, they had so much statement to any look.
I have my eye of lots more styles so watch this space!

Cardigan - Primark £12

The sleeveless Mac

I got this one from River Island and it was a little pricey but the quality is soooo good it's worth every penny as it will be warm for Winter. It isn't like the thinner material waist coat styles that are popular ATM it's thick and sturdy and looks expensive!

Sleeveless Mac - River Island £75

Thigh High Boots

Love, love, love these so much, they actually stay up and are more comfortable then they should be, and were such a bargain too! Instant chic!

Boots - Very - £40

Faux Fur

If I had a pound for every time someone asked where this was from overtime I wear it I was be a very rich lady buy Christmas, I haven't taken it off, the quality is great and the colours are beautiful! I add this to any pain jumper or coat and it gives me glamour on the go!

Faux Fur - Newlook via ASOS - £25

The perfect Zara combo

Every girl should have a basic pair of black boots and bag in their wardrobe ready for the colder months and ok I did already... but I needed an update for this year and Zara was my go to of course! They never fail me, the bag, the boots, together or apart are just perfection!

Bag - Zara - £29.99
Boots - Zara - £29.99

Hats, Hats, Hats!

If know me and my style by now, you may know are partial to a hat! Any kind really, I just love them! I always feel really sorry for people that say "ahh hats don't suit me" because genuinely I couldn't live without mine. Not only do they cover up my thick crazy hair to cover up on bad hair days they make me feel 'done' even if I'm wearing the plainest of outfits!

Topshop - £14

BCBGmaxazria - £40

TKmaxx - £16.99

Let's talk about Tan

Even though its Winter I still love to have a healthy glow and you haven't tried this tan you don't know what your missing. Vita Liberata leaves my skin soft, dark and smelling delightful, even this mitt is the best I have ever used! The quality for the price is amazing and I love using the instant wash off tan for tanning emergencies. The tinted self tanning lotion really does last for 7 days and is very easy to exfoliate, very girls dream! I can't wait for the Christmas packs to come out, I can't imagine using anything else now!

Vita Liberata - Strictly come dancing gift set - £20.00

Beauty bits

The Balm Cosmetics

Ok guys, I think I have found my new favourite make up brand, the names and the packaging are great! The pigment and quality in both of these products are insane! The eyeshadow pallet is just beautiful with the perfect neutral shade to create any kind of smokey eye. Don't me started on the highlighter, it's ridiculous - the cheek bones pop when I wear it. I even have my friends hooked, I want the whole range!

'Nude Tude' Pallet - £29.99

Mary - Lou Manizer - £17.49

Getting the Glow

Yes I know I'm a little late to the party but my god I love this so much, I finally caved in and brought it and I have been missing out for years. Weightless, great coverage and makes your skin look so glowy... I can't get enough. Yes its a little bit more expensive then usual, but I only need a little bit so I can see this lasting for months, try it out girls!

Nars Sheer Glow - £32

Best Brushes

These Real Techniques limited edition brushes are perfect for contouring, there is the short long dense brush for sculpting out cheekbones, fan brush for highlighter and a small fluffy blush brush perfect for applying product to the apples of your cheek, and at £20.99 I think they are reasonably priced as well as being super pretty!

Real Techniques Sculpting Set - £20.99

Let's not forget food

Coffee addict!

It's red cup season! I love this time of year when all the spiced coffee tastes come out, I have only really just got into coffee in the last few years but don't worry I'm definitely making up for lost time now. My fave is Gingerbread Latte, or an Iced Caramel Frappachino MMMMMMM.

Back to baking!

I have recently rediscovered my love of baking again, for me I do think it's more of an Autumn/Winter thing. I'm too busy sipping on cocktails and eating bikini friendly salad in the Summer! I made this very cute Victoria Sponge last weekend swell as these very fun but equally as tasty Ghostly Cupcakes for Halloween, I have a feeling a 'Bake with me' post will be coming to your screens very soon!

Avocado EVERYDAY!

I.JUST.LOVE.IT.SO.MUCH, healthy or unhealthy addiction whatever way you look at it I just can't stop and I'm not even sorry. I love it on toast, in salads or seasoned on it's own. Just make sure you catch them at the perfect ripeness! YUM.

Well I hope you enjoyed finding out my faves of the moment, I have a few don't I!

I've been thinking about starting a youtube channel so I can express my love of makeup, fashion, travel and everything I'm obsessed with in person to you all... it's bit daunting but I'm always up for a challenge!

So keep your eye's peeled... before I go here's a little quote I've been loving ATM

I'll keep you posted :)
